... this happens!
This was a horrendous day & I'm glad it's over. Thanks to all of you that called to see how we were making out with the storm. And by "all of you" I mean my Mom. The rest of you have some sucking up to do.
We're near the tail-end (I think) of a wicked Nor'Easter, and I don't mean the kind that involves jelly beans and bunnies. We had sustained wind speeds of 50 mph, and I almost took a tumble walking into my office this AM. We also have some minor flooding. (If you are stupid enough to drive on the beach in this weather, you'd say it was major flooding.)
On a "up" note, tonight was my first class of doggie obedience class with Callie. I've decided that I'm tired for her not listening to me, and clearly trying to spread myself way too thin. However, this has more positives than drawbacks, so I went for it. 8 weeks of "Callie, come! I SAID COME!! Good girl!!!" Good Lord.
On a WAY fun note, last night we learned that our Niece, Jamie, is having a baby boy. I'm so thrilled! Little girls are blessings for sure, and I adore my nieces in ways that I didn't think were possible. Now we have a little boy to look forward to, and I am really excited about all that he will bring to our family. One of my all-time favorite things is hearing, "Aunt Colleen..." and it only gets better when Jordan says, "Ca-cha Colleen" (Ciocia is Aunt in Polish) YAY for us.
