Dancing with the Stars has been over for weeks. American Idol 7 is just around the corner. What fills the void? A fantastic, NEW show called Clash of the Choirs. I don't care who you are, there's nothing more uplifting than a a kick-ass choir. In this series, 5 celebrity singers (Nick Lechey, Michelle Rowland, Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle and Blake Shelton) were tasked with going to their hometowns and assembling a choir to compete in the show, with the winnings to go to a charity. OK, so we have singing, a competition, and some interesting personalities. I'm in.
I thought that Team LaBelle would have been a shoe-in. When I managed The Gap in Charleson, she hid her tour bus behind my store. We went in, she was gracious and lovely and warm and real. She bought us gifts and we felt SO special! What a shame I didn't vote for her last night!
This is what Team Lechey brought to the table. I was BLOWN AWAY. Thank goodness we have a show that's fresh & family oriented!
