One Time is Enough (At Least it Should Be)

When dog training, you learn that you are supposed to give a command and make the dog do it. The end. Having said that, you can understand why the following activity makes me batty:

Scenario: Human #5 is on the couch. Dog #2 is at the foot of Player #5, looking for a lift. The conversation (betwixt P5 and D3) goes like this:

"C'mon, Spud. Get up. You can do it. C'mon. You can do it. Just do it. C'mon Spud, get up. You can do it. Aw, Spud, c'mon. C'mon up, Spud. Up on the the couch. Put your feet up and get up. On the couch. Put your feet up and get up on the couch. Spud, c'mon. You can do it. C'mon! Just put your feet up and get up on the couch. C'mon, Spud. Get up. You can do it. C'mon. You can do it. Just do it. C'mon Spud, get up. You can do it. Aw, Spud, c'mon. C'mon up, Spud. Up on the the couch. Put your feet up and get up. On the couch. Put your feet up and get up on the couch. Spud, c'mon."

You get the picture.

Oh, how did it end? She picked him up, he growled at her, she laughed.

PS- this happens all day, every day.

PSS- Spud is rotten, and clearly manipulative.

What happened to the little doggie step you were goning to try and find? Knowing Spud he will just look at it and knowing Riley, he will try to use it.
