Trip Recap: NJ July 2009

I won’t bother telling your about my hellacious trip North, other than it took me 11 hours – door to door. Blech.

This trip was made so I could celebrate my nieces’ birthdays!

Jordan just turned 4. What a FUN age. She was so cute, running all around the park in her cowgirl outfit! When the ponies arrived, she BEAMED and said, “Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my God” about a zillion times. (I would have preferred, “Oh, my GOSH” but she’s not my kid, so I have to let that slide.) She even let me take her to the bathroom – I know, sounds crazy, but it made me feel good.

 

On the other hand, Devynn just turned 1! We left the park and met at my brother’s house for that celebration. I’m telling you, this kid is pure sunshine. She is SO HAPPY! I got to spend some 1:1 non-bathroom related time with her and I was hard pressed not to sneak her into the car and hide her in my luggage. OOOH! I just love her!   

Saturday night I met the girls for a grown-up night out which started at Laurie’s house. We met there so we could see her new kitchen, which is FAB-U! We did a little Lia Sofia shopping (jewelry) and it was off to La Cushina for a delicious Italian dinner.

It was so great to see everyone. It’s a shame that I had to leave the next day as I was just getting used to seeing everyone. Luckily, I already have a trip back scheduled for late September! WOO HOO!
