Shipboard Update... it's not pretty.

........................SUNDAY UPDATE........................

I typed up a big entry last night on Matt's Mac, and now I have no way to add it via the Internet Cafe. URGH! I had such big blogging plans, and now it will all have to wait until I return. I am taking some good pics though. You'll need to be patient.Yesterday was a bomb, with the exception of a wine tasing class that I attended with Kim. THAT was a BALL! We are still eating at the same buffet, despite the fact that there are MANY restaurants on board. This us partially due to the fact that the ship is so big we can't find anything and we don't have the luxury of dragging the old people along while we explore.

We did have our first formal dinner, and that was awesome. Our waiter was amazing and didn't mind a bit that Aunt Mabel fell asleep at the table after popping a Dramamine. She's felt sick each day. Everyone was on their best behavior, with the exception of one person, who shall remain nameless, as I feel he may have hit his head and completely forgotten how to act in public. And it's not Chip, Matt or David.

..............MONDAY................

We got our wake-up call this AM at 7:00, so I popped out of bed and jumped in the shower. I was not about to be the person who made us all late for our exciting trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica! Once I dried off and found some clothes (they're all over the place) we hear the following announcement over the loud speaker (you have to read it with an Engligh accent, "Ladies and Gentlemen. It with great regret..." Yep, didn't hear too much after that, other that Chip cursing like a sailor. Due to 30 knot winds and a small port, the Captain decided that it wasn't safe to stop.

YES, WE SKIPPED A WHOLE FREAKING COUNTRY.

It was at this stop that we were going to do the canopy-zip-line-thingy in the jungle. The only thing that Chip really wanted to do. We're not sure if this means that we'll just float at sea for an extra day, or if we'll stay in another port longer. With our luck, I'd bet on staying at sea, because that will just suck.

After we collected ourselves, Chip, Matt & Kim went to the gym. I had the pleasure of waiting on a long-ass line to reschedule our stop in Mexico. You see. Kim, David and Matt will ne touring the Mayan ruins... and Chip and I will make up Mabel's Dolphin sightseeing, since she'll miss it today.

Fun, fun, fun.

Oh yeah, one final thought that will help you understand my drama. After dieting for 3 weeks and only drinking shakes and taking supplements, I have had 3 meals a day, each day, since we left the beach. I have not pooped one time. I'll leave you with that.

I'm off to find a Bloody Mary... or 12. Please, keep thinking good thoughts for us. There's a 100% chance that we will never, ever, ever cruise again, and I want to make the best of it.

Miss you all. ~ C

You and Chip grab Mabel and explore the ship, put her in a wheelchair if you have to. Then let Matt, Kim and David explore with the other crew. You will be off the ship before you know it and will never get to another restaurant or see someplace you may want to spend some time. Dogs are fine.

HAHAHAHA! I just wish I knew more of what was happening. I found it kind of ominous that I received 4 separate phone calls from 4 different individuals the first night you all were there. I can't wait to hear more about it!

love and miss you! Wish I was there...well not really but I wish I could observe it :)

Jamie, we do not want to know what's happening. Well maybe just a little.

Oh, Good Lord! My sister has been trying to convince me to go on a cruise with the rest of the family, insisting that it will be a wonderful family reunion. No way! Not after reading about your experience. Not touching that with a ten foot pole.
