A few weeks ago I met a very nice man named Nathan. His wife, Tricia, has Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and had been preparing for a double lung transplant when they discovered they were pregnant. After a long battle with choosing which life to save, they gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Gwyneth. She was born 15+ weeks early. Tricia is now breathing with the help of donated lungs. Their fight could be my fight, or yours.
Nathan, a fellow blogger, has been writing about their story. Check out http://cfhusband.blogspot.com/
It is because of them that I am taking strides to make "CF" stand for "Cure Found!" Visit my GREAT STRIDES Home Page at http://www.cff.org/great_strides/ColleenAlmoney
Although my passion is the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, my heart strings have been plucked. I have a conservative goal of $100. If only 10 of you give only $10, I'll be in good shape. To borrow from my friend, Maxine, if everyone does a little - no one has to give a lot.
If you are able, give a little.
Thanks.
