The Tooth Fairy

Round about 8:00, I get a phone call from two of the best kids on the planet, Valerie & Katherine. Apparently, there was a discussion at dinner that needed my input.

"Aunt Colleen, we were wondering what the Tooth Fairy does with all the teeth. We went around the table and said what we thought she did with them. The Tooth Fairy. With the teeth. What she does with 'em." Valerie is a good talker :-)

"What do you think she does with the teeth?"

"Well," she exasperated, "I think she collects them and then they are used to give to babies when they are born so that they have teeth as they grow," or something relatively close to that, with about a zillion more words. "And Aunt Carol promised that she would try to spread it around the Internet."

This is why I love kids. I just LOVE this stuff!

"What do YOU think?"
she asked.

I told Valerie, "I think that the Tooth Fairy goes around to all the homes and collects the teeth each night, all over the world." Heck, Santa gives toys all over the place, I'm sure the TF can handle a tooth pick-up! "The TF takes all the teeth and grinds them up into a powder, and then gives the powder to God so that he can make seashells."

Katherine, Valerie's sister thinks that the Tooth Fairy is building a castle with all of the teeth that she collects, and it will be a place for her to live, along with the other fairies!

What do you think?
