This afternoon I met Monica and Suzanne at the movies, and we saw August Rush. It was a slow, comfortable drama that ended in unexpected sobbing.
First of all, since when did matinées cost $7.50? MY GOD! By the time I purchased my small popcorn, of which I ate only half, and a medium Coke, I was busted. If you haven't been to the movies in a while, they now have these sprinkle things that you can shake on your popcorn! I tried the cheese, but they also had caramel, ranch, and some others that I can't remember. It wasn't great, but I was amazed that the theaters are still trying to progress when they should be moving back to pop fresh popcorn! Remember how great the lobby used to smell? And you could watch the kernels come out in waves? And then they dumped the buttery-flavored topping on, and it was HOT? (Sorry for the flashback, Car)
Anywho, the movie was moving... especially the music. I may just try to get my hands on the soundtrack.
On a scale of 1-10, I give it an 8.
