Colonoscopies and Bank Robberies

How about THAT for a title?!

For the past 8 or 9 months, I've had some, well, digestive concerns. I was diagnosed with IBS, irritable bowel syndrome, which is fitting. The change in diet didn't help (or it didn't help because I only tried a few days) and the meds did nothing, so the next step was a colonoscopy.

I did the prep on Sunday, which means that I drank the goop and watched my day go down the drain. Monday, Chip and I headed over to Elizabeth City (more than an hour away) for the procedure. I won't bore you with the details or make you shake your head with the pictures (mostly because my mother told me that I wasn't allowed) but I had a few things snipped off and I'm now waiting for the results of the colitis test. Oh yeah, I also almost passed out when the nurse jabbed me with the IV needle. She is not my friend.

AND... today while driving home from visiting E'City for work, I saw a bank robbery in progress! I swear! I couldn't make that up! The Towne Bank of Currituck was surrounded by policemen with their weapons drawn! CRAZY! And, no, I didn't stay to watch. There was no way I was going to let a stray bullet take me out only one day after my colonoscopy.

No way.
