I know I haven't been the best blogger lately. I feel bad about that for a few reasons...
- Nothing really exciting has happened
- I am still addicted to Facebook and it's getting worse now that I have been drawn into Mafia Wars.
- American Idol is in full swing and I need to spend time researching the newest scoop so I can be "in the know." You know how I need to be in the know. Ya' know?
- My arm is still in a super-huge amount of discomfort which limits the time I can spend on the laptop doing work and non-work related things like updating my Facebook page and researching all things American Idol.
- The drama that we DO have isn't really changing too much, so I've had no updates to share.
Tomorrow I have my first appointment with the Acupuncturist and I am really looking forward to it. She comes highly recommended and I am hopeful. I'm not looking forward to writing an $80 check for the consultation, but I've already spent $160 in co-payments to the chiropractor, a $30 co-pay to the doctor, $20 co-pay to the Orthopedic group, $65+tip to the massage therapist, and paid for 3 prescriptions... man, I wish I hadn't added that up. We'll see what she says and move on from there.
Chip's mom is STILL in the hospital in Baltimore. She's just passed the 1 month mark. The doctors don't have a 100% diagnosis of her illness, but she IS feeling better and for that we are all grateful.
While his parents are out of the house, we decided to remodel their bathroom (take out the tub & put in a shower stall so it's easier for Mo to get in & out). You know how there are decisions that you wish you could take back? Well, I'm not QUITE there yet, but I am close. THIER remodel became OUR remodel when the contractor said he could save us some money by doing it all at once... HA! Don't fall for THAT line again!
We got a good, competitive price, and then reality hit... a new, tiled shower means new tile, new fixtures, new paint, new this & that. The tile on the existing floor is, you guessed it, retired, so we had to find a complimentary tile. (PS- Chip and I have a hard time with these kinds of decisions) He wanted this, I wanted that. The THAT was WAY too expensive so I had to settle for THIS, which kind of makes me sad. There was such a potential to do something amazing and cutting edge...
This AM I got a call from Chip telling me that the "master tile man" BROKE one of the floor tiles (yes, the ones that we can't replace) and now all Hell is breaking loose. I am SO glad that I am not home right now! I wonder what the plan will be to fix this issue? If it's "re-tile the whole floor," I'm going back and insisting on the good stuff.
How's THAT for a catch-up post?? :-)
