It’s what? MAY?

Seriously, the weeks seem so long. I don’t understand how time can drag AND fly by so quickly!

We are gearing-up for this year’s Relay for Life event. It’s this Saturday. It should be months from now, like it was a few months ago! I have done a really great job of fundraising, with the help of family and friends. In all actuality, I’m the 3rd highest fundraiser for our county so far! If you are reading this and haven’t made a donation, it’s not too late to help make me look good. Visit the website and make a donation. It feels really good to help kick Cancer’s ass. Trust me on this. Just grab your credit or debit card and click HERE.

We’ve had a string of challenges – sickness, the pool is leaking, the hot tub is leaking, work is getting more and more challenging… which means I am still alive. A good thing by any measure.

We have a new family excursion planned for Thanksgiving this year – a trip to Grand Cayman. 6 months away from now, I will be bathing suit compliant or I will kill myself. :-) This is the pool at the house we are renting for the week. Yes, you can be jealous, it looks amazing. Now take a moment and reflect on the cruise drama… and stop making that sour face. It could be really great… really. great. really.

Let’s see, what other fun have I been having? Our poor little Callie is recovering from emergency surgery. Who eats a hunk o’ rubber and expects to skate by afterwards? Oh, that would be our 4-legged garbage disposal. She went under the knife last week, the day after my 43rd birthday, which I spent on the bathroom floor with a 24 hour virus of some sort. But I digress. Callie is still having some recovery issues which result in my husband and I arguing at 3am about where the dog is vomiting in the bed. We’ll be calling the vet in AM for another office visit. Cha-CHING!!!!

I’ll be sure to check in again soon, and let you know how things are progressing. If you’ve stopped by, please leave a comment – my mom always tells me that it’s not working :-)

I so agree, the weeks are slow but life is fast; I like to think of the week as the ride to the tope of the roller coaster (click clack sound and all) and then life swooshes by!

And tell your mom it does work...I read everytime you update; just wish you had more time to write.
